Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer.  Designed and wrote online and batch programs using DMSII and COBOL for the University of Washington's Graduate Records System on a Unisys A-15 mainframe.  Development of online programs included screen design and programming.  Projects included Lockbox Batch Gift Load Process, Online ADF Profile Report, Batch Upload of Corrections/Deletions, creation of Prospect Profile tape for John Grenzebach and Associates, Regents Report and various maintenance projects. Met with users in design meetings.  Conducted demonstrations of online programs.  Performed troubleshooting on various Campaign Report programs.
  

 

Western Data Corporation, April 1990 to August 1990
Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer.  Designed and wrote online modules and batch programs using DMSII and COBOL at the University of Washington.  Wrote screen formats and their associated modules to assign Campaign Goals and to create Batch Header records for the Campaign for Washington system.  Wrote batch programs to produce Donor Reports using three-dimensional arrays and relative addressing.  Wrote ad hoc program to total amounts based on type in Report Extract File to facilitate report validation.
   

 

Western Data Corporation, October 1989 to February 1990
Training Consultant.  Developed and taught hands-on training course for the Case Manager Locator System at the Department of Social and Health Services, State of Washington.  Created classroom examples and developed hands-on exercises.  Wrote user manuals for quick reference by end users.  Edited Case Manager Locator handbook. Taught the course to approximately 150 students.
   

 

Tapucol and Associates, Inc., July 1988 - February 1989
Information Systems Consultant.  Developed and taught training course on the Datamanager Data Dictionary at Pacific Bell.  Developed training curriculum and classroom exercises.  Taught both technical and non-technical students.
    

 

Pacific Bell, August 1979 to December 1987
Systems Administrator. Responsible for the overall operation, security and training on the Datamanager Data Dictionary (CASE tool) on a company-wide level.  Developed training classes.  Created Datamanager User’s Group and led monthly meetings. 

Staff Analyst.  Designed, wrote and implemented programs for the Tape Library Management System on Burroughs system using ALGOL and COBOL.  Used Yourdon Structured Methodology (process-driven) and DSSD (Data Structured Systems Design (data-driven).
